Reno’s Best Kickboxing – Cardio, Heavy Bags, You Name It

For years, the hands-down best – and only – cardio kickboxing classes in Reno were found at Freestyle Fitness. These days, cardio kickboxing is on the schedule at gyms all over town, and there are franchises popping up regularly. We’re happy to see that more and more people are learning about the therapeutic rush you get from hitting a heavy bag, but be clear – not all kickboxing classes in Reno are created equal, and your body needs a break from the gloves and bags sometimes. That’s why Freestyle is still Reno’s best place for kickboxing. The same is true for a heavy bag class, and that’s the Achille’s heel of some of those franchise joints in town. When your workout is always the same – some variation of punches, knees and kicks thrown at hard objects – your body is going to feel it, and not in a good way.

Cardio is good for your heart and lungs, and you don’t need to log a zillion boring miles on the treadmill, or jostle your knees and hips on unforgiving concrete, to make it effective. An hour of cardio at Freestyle and boom – you’re sweaty and drained in the best way. And good news: a thirty-minute express class is in the works now.
