Do I need to know martial arts to train at Freestyle?

Not at all! Our classes are inspired by the martial arts side of Freestyle, but there’s no prerequisite to take any of our classes.

What does “non-contact” mean?

Non-contact means there is no contact between people. In Total Body, Fighter Physique and Throwdown, you’ll hit bags – but they don’t hit back!

I’m a beginner. Is that a problem?

Never! Our instructors are trained to offer modifications to accommodate beginners or those coming back after an injury. And while they’ll encourage you to work hard, ultimately, you choose how hard to push yourself. These classes are for everyone and every body!

I’m an athlete. Will Freestyle be able to challenge me?

Absolutely. Cross-training is an incredibly effective method of building your strength, agility, endurance and overall fitness, and our classes are intense and varied with a great mix of strength training and cardio. Our instructors and class formats will challenge you no matter how fit you are.

What should I wear or bring to class?

Wear workout clothes and athletic shoes (though you can choose to train barefoot on our padded mats), and bring water and a small towel to mop that sweaty brow.
