Is is just us, or are cardio kickboxing joints popping up all over town these days? It’s easy to see why – kickboxing is an amazing way to relieve tension, work up a serious sweat, get your heart and lungs pumping and burn some major calories. But are all kickboxing classes equal? Nope. Here’s why Freestyle Fitness has been throwing it down for years – and why we’re still offering the best cardio kickboxing in town.

Fast Pace

We start with music that’s already fast – and then we crank the pitch. The beat keeps us on pace, and as it gets faster, so do we. Moving quickly without sacrificing form or technique is the goal, and it’s a great way to improve your agility and balance.

Solid Technique

Freestyle Fitness borrows from the martial arts side when it comes to technique. There are minor modifications to account for the quicker tempo, but we don’t get sloppy. Strong punches, tight cores, tight fists, hands up – you’ll hear it over and over again.

Rounding it Out

As much as we love cardio kickboxing, sometimes you just need to hit something. And cross-training is the bee’s knees when it comes to a strong physique, so we balance these intense cardio classes with two choices for resistance-based training. Take your pick – sixty minutes of boot camp-style workouts in Total Body, complete with bag and pad work, resistance bands, medicine balls and your own body weight, or thirty minutes of interval training in our MMA-inspired fighter conditioning class, Fighter Physique.
