There’s nothing like having someone on your side – someone in the trenches with you – when you’re ready to commit to living healthier. That’s why we’re making our next 30-day fitness challenge one for the whole crew. The more friends or family members you join with, the more support you have, and the more money you save. But that’s not all.
First, what’s this 30-day challenge thing?
Good question! A thirty-day challenge at Freestyle Fitness is a quick-and-dirty, pedal-to-the-metal commitment to sweating consistently and eating healthfully for four full weeks. You have access to unlimited fitness classes, nutrition guidance, the support and encouragement of all your instructors, and a deadline. And that’s important, because we all know how motivation can wane. Thirty days is long enough to feel like you’ve accomplished something, but not so long that you want to give up halfway through. Now, here are three reasons you need to get in on this one.
the accountability factor
Making plans with a friend to work out means you’re probably going to make that workout happen. If you’re the kind who tends to bail on fitness plans, even when it’s outlined right there on your calendar, the accountability factor can change things up. And the more people you can rally, the more support you have going in, which can help with the intimidation factor. It’s not easy walking into a new gym for the first time, especially if you’re new to things like cardio kickboxing, heavy bag kickboxing, boot camp, or that MMA-inspired class.
making it fun
At Freestyle Fitness, our classes are tough – that’s the point. And while you’ll feel amazing the first time you can really hang, it’s an uphill battle to get there. That’s where change lives, so it really is a good thing. But having a friend struggling alongside you changes things. After class, you can commiserate together, rehash the hardest parts, and make plans for when you’re doing it again. It’s just more fun when you have a friend along for the ride. And while it doesn’t always follow that more is better, this is one of those times when it’s true.
the money thing
With In It Together, we’re offering price breaks when you join with friends and family. It works like this:
- You and a friend: $90 each
- You and two friends: $75 each
- You and three friends or more: $65 each
What if you’re already a member? Good news – you pay just $25 to join the challenge, and any non-member friends who sign up with you can enjoy the discounted prices.
So what do you get for that entry fee? In addition to 30 days of unlimited classes, non-members can start attending classes at no additional fee right away – so the sooner you sign up, the better. Plus, if you can attend 20 classes in the thirty-day challenge, you’ll earn a free month of classes when all is said and done. We offer nutrition guidance and instead of a plethora of digital and social features – Facebook groups, social check-ins, weekly emails, etc. – we’re going old-school! Each challenger will have a tab in our In It Together folder, and you can check it every time you come to class. From encouraging notes to nutrition tips and more, it’s a great little way to stay motivated and present.
This time, we’re also changing things up by offering motivating incentives along the way. Plus, the challenger who drops the most overall inches will snag a $100 gift card to lululemon. Awesome, right?
