Introducing Throwdown, Heavy Bag Kickboxing at Freestyle Fitness

freestyle-fitness-throwdownOur newest class has been in the works for ages, and it’s finally ready to roll out. We’re thrilled to present Throwdown, a forty-five minute heavy bag kickboxing class that highlights technique. Ready to learn a little more?

The class is highly structured. No matter who’s teaching it, you can expect the same class format. First up is a dynamic warm-up to get you loose and ready to go, then a quick technique spotlight. And then the real fun begins – eight three-minute rounds of bad-assery, including a round of focus mitts. A quick cool down, and you’re out the door in 45 minutes, soaked and pumped with that stringy noodle feeling pretty much from head to toe.

Throwdown is different than any other class Freestyle has ever offered. All participants will be required to book a bag ahead of class. We’ll open the schedule a few days in advance so you can book your bag, and you’ll get a reminder email the day of class. We have 18 heavy bags, and that’s the max capacity for every Throwdown. So book early to get a bag, or you’re out of luck.
